Are they sustainable?

Yes, our pads are a much more sustainable alternative to most period products on the market.

Our bamboo pads are made with Oeko-Tex certified organic bamboo, a self-generating plant that requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilisers and requires much less water to grow than conventional cotton.

Unlike conventional products, which are made of up to 90% plastic*, we use plant-based and biodegradable materials wherever possible. Since a waterproof back sheet is essential for keeping you dry and leak-free, all pads and liners include one. We use a sustainable plant-based bioplastic called PLA, derived from sugar and cornstarch.

Our bamboo liners are made with Oeko-Tex certified organic bamboo, a self-generating plant that requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilisers and requires much less water to grow than conventional cotton.

Are your pads and liners biodegradable?

Unlike conventional products, which are made of up to 90% plastic*, we use plant-based and biodegradable materials wherever possible.

• Our topsheet is made entirely from organic bamboo and cornstarch 
• Our backsheet needs to be waterproof, to prevent leaks, so we use a sustainable plant-based bioplastic called PLA, derived from sugar and cornstarch. This is TUV-Austria certified home compostable and we also use this for the wrapper.
• There is a small percentage of our moderate and heavy pads which, although not biodegradable, will break down naturally. This includes our non-toxic, plastic-free SAP core, which improves the absorbency of our pads, which is essential to support those with heavy menstrual flows. 

We are actively working towards making period products entirely biodegradable as part of our investment in innovation and R&D investment commitment.

Do your pads have wings?

Both of our period pads, for moderate and heavy flow, have wings. This means your pad stays in place, helping you feel secure.

How absorbent are the pads?

We have two absorbencies to suit every body. Our Day pads are great for a medium flow, whilst our Night pads are great for a heavy flow, designed for round-the-clock leak protection.

How absorbent are they?

Liners provide protection for light flow days, spotting in between periods, discharge or other leaks. They may not provide enough protection during your actual period so you may want to consider using tampons, pads, or a menstrual cup on heavier flow days.

How do I use the pads?

Wash your hands before you begin and unwrap the pad from its individual packaging. Peel off the backing paper to reveal the adhesive, place the sticky side of the pad down onto your underwear, then fold the wings over the sides of your underwear to ensure a secure fit.

How do I wash your period pants?

After use, rinse your period pants under cold water as soon as possible. This helps remove excess blood and prevents stains from setting. Avoid using hot water as it can set stains.

Use a gentle cycle with cold water (<30℃). Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can affect the absorbency and damage the fabric. Air dry the menstrual underwear and avoid using a dryer.

Choose a well-ventilated area and let them dry completely. Drying in the sun can help kill bacteria.

Once dry, store your period pants in a clean and dry place. Ensure they are completely dry before storing to prevent odours. They are ready to use for your next cycle.

How do you dispose of your liners?

After use, remove the liner, pads and wrap it in the packaging or tissue paper before disposing of it in a general or “sanitary” waste bin. Never flush period products down the toilet.

While our liners are made from biodegradable materials, factors such as temperature and moisture can affect their breakdown process. For this reason, we recommend disposing of our liners and wrappers in the general waste bin.

What size should I choose for period pants?

Our pants, depending on style, are available in sizes 2XS - 4XL. The equivalent in UK clothes sizes would be:

When should I use liners?

Liners are thinner and smaller than a typical period pad, making them a great option for when you want to feel secure and keep your underwear protected. Perfect for a light flow, spotting in between periods, discharge or other leaks.
