Unlike conventional products, which are made of up to 90% plastic*, we use plant-based and biodegradable materials wherever possible.

• Our topsheet is made entirely from organic bamboo and cornstarch 
• Our backsheet needs to be waterproof, to prevent leaks, so we use a sustainable plant-based bioplastic called PLA, derived from sugar and cornstarch. This is TUV-Austria certified home compostable and we also use this for the wrapper.
• There is a small percentage of our moderate and heavy pads which, although not biodegradable, will break down naturally. This includes our non-toxic, plastic-free SAP core, which improves the absorbency of our pads, which is essential to support those with heavy menstrual flows. 

We are actively working towards making period products entirely biodegradable as part of our investment in innovation and R&D investment commitment.

Yes, our products are produced without animal by-products or animal-derived ingredients and we don’t test on animals or allow third parties to test on animals on our behalf.

Our tampons are made from organic cotton, a biodegradable material, which means it will break down naturally in your compost or in general waste. Our tampons are designed with compostable cardboard applicators, or without any applicator at all, to prevent plastic waste from applicators. They are also individually wrapped in paper, never plastic, which can be composted or recycled.

Absolutely, we aim to make this as easy as possible for you so there are no contracts or restrictions. You’re in complete control of your repeat order. You can manage your orders in your account and choose to pause, edit, or cancel your repeat order at any time. To avoid charges, you must amend or cancel your order at least 5 working days before your next payment is due.

We want you to be happy with your Grace & Green products, however, due to the nature of the products we cannot accept returns due to change of mind. Returns will only be accepted if the goods are faulty, damaged, have been described incorrectly or if you have received an incorrect order. Please contact us within 7 days of delivery by contacting hello@graceandgreen.co via email.

Some of our packages will not fit through your letterbox and you may have to collect from your neighbour or from your local delivery office if you are not home at the time of delivery. We are looking at making our deliveries postal box friendly in the future.

Unlike conventional pads that contain petroleum-based plastics, we use a plant-based bioplastic made from cornstarch for our protective leakproof layer. This eco-friendly material is also used for our compostable wrappers, and is certified home compostable.

You may have heard that some period pads contain super absorbent polymers (SAP). Many mainstream brands use synthetic SAP, which typically comes in the form of small beads or granules and may contain microplastics. Our pads have a non-toxic super absorbent core made from 70-80% biodegradable wood pulp and 20-30% plastic-free SAP. However, since the core is just one of seven parts of the pad, this means the total amount of SAP in the entire pad is incredibly small.

Our products are designed to be just as absorbent as conventional options, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their flow, can confidently make the switch to sustainable alternatives.

All orders over £30 benefit from free delivery. For orders under £30, postage is charged at £2.85.

The Grace & Green collection uses organic cotton certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), ICEA and carries the seal of organic cotton. We also use organic bamboo certified by OEKO-TEX®. Organic raw materials create safer period products that are gentle on your skin. Free from toxins, chemicals, dyes, and fragrance. Grown without toxic chemicals, organic crops promote better soil and air quality, and are less water and energy intensive than conventionally grown cotton or bamboo. Organic farming creates better health standards for farmers and their surrounding communities, and preserves land quality for future generations.

Our bamboo pads are made with Oeko-Tex certified organic bamboo, a self-generating plant that requires no irrigation, pesticides or fertilisers and requires much less water to grow than conventional cotton.

Our tampons are made with certified-organic cotton which uses 71% less water, 62% less energy and produces 46% less CO2e than traditional cotton. If you choose to use an applicator tampons, our cardboard applicator is a sustainable alternative to traditional and "plant-based" plastic, it will naturally break down over time. All our tampons are wrapped in paper, meaning the packaging is fully recyclable.

Orders placed before midday Monday – Friday will be dispatched on the same day. Orders placed after midday will be dispatched on the next business day. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery.

Your first order and payment will be processed at the time of placing the order. Repeat subscription orders will then be billed on the day of your next order, which you can see in your Account. Don't worry, you will be sent an email 3 days before your order renews so that you can skip, delay or make any changes you may need to.
