Environmental Policy

Eco Hygiene Care Ltd, trading as Grace & Green, is committed to reducing the environmental impact of our business and using our influence to drive positive environmental change across our industry and value chain.

As a purpose-led organisation, environmental responsibility is embedded in how we design products, select materials, work with suppliers, manufacture and distribute our products, manage our operations and make strategic decisions.

We are committed to continual improvement in our environmental performance, preventing pollution, protecting the natural environment, using resources responsibly and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in line with our Net Zero ambitions.

Our Environmental Management System provides the framework through which we identify and manage significant environmental aspects and impacts, meet our compliance obligations, establish measurable objectives and continually improve our performance. Our approach supports our commitments under ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and B Corp.

We recognise that our responsibility extends beyond our direct operations. We therefore consider environmental impacts across the lifecycle of our products — from raw materials and product design through manufacturing, packaging, transport, use and end-of-life, and work collaboratively with suppliers, partners, customers and our team to drive meaningful improvement.

1. OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENTS
1.1 Climate and carbon

Measure, monitor and seek to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with our operations, products and value chain, prioritising meaningful emissions reductions and improved efficiency.

Set measurable environmental objectives and key performance indicators, review progress regularly and use the results to drive continual improvement.

Improve energy efficiency and increase the use of renewable and lower-carbon energy and transport options where practicable.

Promote lower-impact business travel, including public transport, cycling, walking and remote collaboration where appropriate.

1.2 Responsible products, materials and innovation

Embed environmental considerations and lifecycle thinking into new product development and product improvement.

Prioritise responsibly sourced, certified, renewable, recycled or lower-impact materials where these meet appropriate safety, quality and performance requirements.

Work to reduce unnecessary plastic and packaging and increase recyclable, reusable, compostable or otherwise lower-impact solutions where credible infrastructure and evidence support those claims.

Develop and promote durable and reusable product options where appropriate, helping customers reduce waste without compromising safety, dignity, comfort or performance.

Continually review product composition, materials and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impact.

1.3 Waste, resources and pollution prevention

Apply the waste hierarchy: prevention, reduction, reuse, recycling, recovery and, only where necessary, disposal.

Use water, energy, materials and other resources efficiently and seek to prevent unnecessary consumption and waste.

Prevent and control pollution arising from our activities and eliminate or reduce the use of environmentally harmful substances wherever reasonably practicable.

Manage waste responsibly across our offices, warehouse, operations and product development activities, using appropriately authorised waste routes.

1.4 Responsible supply chain and procurement

Integrate environmental considerations into procurement, supplier selection, manufacturing decisions and ongoing supplier engagement.

Set clear environmental expectations for suppliers and manufacturing partners through our Supplier Code of Conduct and relevant contractual or due-diligence processes.

Work collaboratively with suppliers and partners to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and emissions, strengthen responsible sourcing and identify lower-impact alternatives.

Where appropriate, seek credible third-party standards, certifications and environmental data to support sourcing and product decisions.

1.5 Evidence, transparency and environmental claims

Maintain appropriate data and evidence to understand and communicate our environmental impacts and progress.

Ensure environmental and sustainability claims are accurate, specific, evidence-based and capable of substantiation, avoiding vague or misleading claims.

Use credible independent standards, certifications, audits and product-level data where appropriate to strengthen transparency and accountability.

Report on material environmental performance and progress through our annual Grace & Green Impact Report and other appropriate communications.

2. COMPLIANCE, GOVERNANCE AND CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT

We will:

Meet applicable environmental legal, regulatory and other compliance obligations and follow recognised good practice where appropriate.

Maintain and continually improve our Environmental Management Reporting and targets, including the identification and review of significant environmental aspects, risks, opportunities and compliance obligations.

Investigate environmental incidents, non-conformities and emerging risks and take appropriate corrective or preventive action.

Provide appropriate resources, responsibilities, training and awareness to support delivery of our environmental objectives.

Review environmental objectives, performance and this policy through senior management and governance processes.

Maintain and recertify for ISO14001 annually with all the above in mind.
