Happy October! In honour of Black History Month, we will be sharing 4 of our favourite sustainable black-owned brands based in the UK. First up, we’ve got award-winning African jewellery brand @yalajewellery, the very first jewellery brand in the UK to become B Corp Certified! 💚
@yalajewellery’s ethical jewellery pieces are created by Kenyan artisans and creatives who represent the country’s diversity and potential. The brand is named after the town in Kenya where founder Audrey Migot-Adholla’s late grandmother lived.
In-line with International Women Day, we pledged to donate 10% of our proceeds over March to 3 organisations who are providing aid and essential resources to the people of Ukraine and Afghanistan. We are pleased to say that we have donated a total of £1200 to these 3 wonderful organisations. We will continue to support the Ukrainian effort with donations of period products. We will continue to keep supporting people caught up in this crisis, and help those affected as best we can.

They even act as carbon sinks absorbing atmospheric CO2, therefore reducing the impact of global warming.

Kaleigh applies her unique education, which includes two Master's Degrees in International Conflict Management and a visiting doctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford, to providing relief for global refugees who have extremely limited access to menstrual health products and intimate care.

In honour of Organic September, we wanted to share 5 of our favourite organic food blogs. 🍋🌱🍫
“Eating organic food can have a positive impact on your mental and emotional health. Because organic foods have undergone minimal processing, they are usually fresher and therefore contain more nutritions and antioxidants. Organic food also contains fewer pesticides, preservatives and chemicals that can be harmful to your health.”
