Royal Mail Strikes

How Will Royal Mail’s Strike Action Affect My Delivery?

Royal Mail plans a series of 24-hour strikes in October and November, including:

  • Thursday 13 October 2022
  • Thursday 20 October 2022
  • Tuesday 25 October 2022
  • Monday 28 November 2022

Further dates have also been announced by the CWU for functional strike action which impacts parts of the operation on the following:

  • Processing, Distribution, Collections: 3, 9, 15, 24 November, and 1 December 2022
  • Delivery: 4, 10, 16, 25 November, and 2 December 2022
  • Network: 2, 8, 14, 23, 30 November 2022

Delivery of items posted the day before strikes, or during strike days, will be delayed. We expect these strikes to cause a backlog in the postal system which will cause further delays beyond the strike days.

However, we will always do everything that we can to ensure that you receive your order so if you haven’t received your order within 10 days of ordering then please get in touch with us.

Unfortunately, these delays caused by the Royal Mail strikes are beyond our control, so all we can do is advise you to place your order early to avoid disruption.

As Royal Mail is our main courier, we will be keeping a close eye on the situation.

For additional information from Royal Mail, we suggest keeping an eye on Royal Mail’s latest news.
