In Solidarity With Ukraine and Afghanistan

For the next 2 weeks – and over International Women’s Day – we are donating 10% of our proceeds to three wonderful organisations providing aid and essential resources to the people of Ukraine and Afghanistan as they battle the most extreme devastation and turmoil.

The three Charities we have chosen to support are:

While the Taliban’s return to power is having detrimental effects for Afghanistan as a whole, women and children remain the most vulnerable to their wrath. With extreme weather conditions people are facing poverty and starvation. Standing to lose all of the hard-won gains they’ve worked so hard to achieve over the past few years, their lives are also very much in danger. Record numbers of women and children are killed and injured in Afghanistan. 20 million more girls may never return to school once the COVID-19 crisis subsides. When girls go to school, communities recover from conflict faster. Educated girls are healthier citizens who raise healthier families. Girls’ education advances environmental sustainability and helps countries mitigate the effects of climate change.

Help children facing violence in Ukraine and around the world by donating to Save the Children’s Emergency Fund, which distributes supplies and offers mental health and psychosocial support to children and their families.

Donating to the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal could help someone affected get essential items such as food, water, first aid, medicine, warm clothes and shelter.
