Can I wear tampons at night?

Tampons must be changed every 4-8 hours, to lower the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. Therefore, we recommend using pads or our menstrual cup for overnight protection and peace of mind.

Can organic tampons cause Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)?

Our tampons are made from organic and natural materials, reducing exposure to synthetic chemicals commonly found in conventional tampons including pesticides, chlorine bleach and fragrances. Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), however, is associated with the overgrowth of bacteria, not man-made toxins. These bacteria may be present in small amounts on the skin, including the vaginal area. Regardless of the type of tampon, leaving it in for an extended period increases the risk of bacterial overgrowth, which is the contributing factor to TSS. Therefore, users of organic tampons, like any other menstrual product, should adhere to recommended usage guidelines of changing their tampon every 4-8 hours.

Do I need to be in to receive my order?

Some of our packages will not fit through your letterbox and you may have to collect from your neighbour or from your local delivery office if you are not home at the time of delivery. We are looking at making our deliveries postal box friendly in the future.

Do your products have a SAP core?

You may have heard that some period pads contain super absorbent polymers (SAP). For many mainstream brands, these are a synthetic polymer that are usually found in the form of small beads or granules and can therefore contain microplastics. We do not use any synthetic materials in the creation of our bamboo pads or liners. We have a super absorbent core that is made from wood pulp, and our pads have independent biodegradability certificates to show they break down without leaving a trace.
